وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نُهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرًا

Hilali & KhanAnd when We decide to destroy a town (population), Amarna those who live luxuriously. Then, they transgress therein, and thus the word (of torment) is justified against it (them). Then We destroy it with complete destruction.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور جب ہم کسی بستی کی ہلاکت کا اراده کرلیتے ہیں تو وہاں کے خوشحال لوگوں کو (کچھ) حکم دیتے ہیں اور وه اس بستی میں کھلی نافرمانی کرنے لگتے ہیں تو ان پر (عذاب کی) بات ﺛابت ہوجاتی ہے پھر ہم اسے تباه وبرباد کردیتے ہیں
