Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 283
البقرة · The Cow · verse 283 of 286
وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا فَرِهَانٌ مَقْبُوضَةٌ فَإِنْ أَمِنَ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا فَلْيُؤَدِّ الَّذِي اؤْتُمِنَ أَمَانَتَهُ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا تَكْتُمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ وَمَنْ يَكْتُمْهَا فَإِنَّهُ آثِمٌ قَلْبُهُ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ
Wain kuntum AAala safarin walam tajidoo katiban farihanun maqboodatun fain amina baAAdukum baAAdan falyuaddi allathee itumina amanatahu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu wala taktumoo alshshahadata waman yaktumha fainnahu athimun qalbuhu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun

Hilali & KhanAnd if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then let there be a pledge taken (mortgaging), then if one of you entrusts the other, let the one who is entrusted discharge his trust, and let him have Taqwa of Allah, his Lord. And conceal not the evidence, for he who hides it, surely, his heart is sinful. And Allah is All-Knower of what you do.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور اگر تم سفر میں ہو اور لکھنے واﻻ نہ پاؤ تو رہن قبضہ میں رکھ لیا کرو، ہاں اگر آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے مطمئن ہو تو جسے امانت دی گئی ہے وه اسے ادا کردے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتا رہے جو اس کا رب ہے۔ اور گواہی کو نہ چھپاؤ اور جو اسے چھپالے وه گنہگار دل واﻻ ہے اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اسے اللہ تعالیٰ خوب جانتا ہے
