المؤمنون · The Believers · verse 24 of 118
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
Faqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaddala AAalaykum walaw shaa Allahu laanzala malaikatan ma samiAAna bihatha fee abaina alawwaleena

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اس کی قوم کے کافر سرداروں نے صاف کہہ دیا کہ یہ تو تم جیسا ہی انسان ہے، یہ تم پر فضیلت اور بڑائی حاصل کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ اگر اللہ ہی کو منظور ہوتا تو کسی فرشتے کو اتارتا، ہم نے تو اسے اپنے اگلے باپ دادوں کے زمانے میں سنا ہی نہیں
