وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا
Waitha qeela lahumu osjudoo lilrrahmani qaloo wama alrrahmanu anasjudu lima tamuruna wazadahum nufooran

Hilali & KhanAnd when it is said to them: "Prostrate yourselves to Ar-Rahman!" They say: "And what is Ar-Rahman Shall we fall down in prostration to that which you command us" And it increases in them only aversion.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)ان سے جب بھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ رحمٰن کو سجده کرو تو جواب دیتے ہیں رحمٰن ہے کیا؟ کیا ہم اسے سجده کریں جس کا تو ہمیں حکم دے رہا ہے اور اس (تبلیﻎ) نےان کی نفرت میں مزید اضافہ کردیا
