Surah Ali 'Imran, Ayah 140

إِنْ يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِثْلُهُ وَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنْكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
In yamsaskum qarhun faqad massa alqawma qarhun mithluhu watilka alayyamu nudawiluha bayna alnnasi waliyaAAlama Allahu allatheena amanoo wayattakhitha minkum shuhadaa waAllahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena

Hilali & KhanIf a wound has touched you, be sure a similar wound has touched the others. And so are the days, that We give to men by turns, that Allah may know (test) those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allah likes not the wrongdoers.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اگر تم زخمی ہوئے ہو تو تمہارے مخالف لوگ بھی تو ایسے ہی زخمی ہو چکے ہیں، ہم ان دنوں کو لوگوں کے درمیان ادلتے بدلتے رہتے ہیں۔ (شکست احد) اس لئے تھی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ایمان والوں کو ﻇاہر کردے اور تم میں سے بعض کو شہادت کا درجہ عطا فرمائے، اللہ تعالیٰ ﻇالموں سے محبت نہیں کرتا
