قَالَتِ الْأَعْرَابُ آمَنَّا قُلْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَٰكِنْ قُولُوا أَسْلَمْنَا وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ الْإِيمَانُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَا يَلِتْكُمْ مِنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Qalati alaAArabu amanna qul lam tuminoo walakin qooloo aslamna walamma yadkhuli aleemanu fee quloobikum wain tuteeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu la yalitkum min aAAmalikum shayan inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Hilali & KhanThe bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You do not believe. But say, `We have submitted,' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)دیہاتی لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان ﻻئے۔ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ درحقیقت تم ایمان نہیں ﻻئے لیکن تم یوں کہو کہ ہم اسلام ﻻئے (مخالفت چھوڑ کر مطیع ہوگئے) حاﻻنکہ ابھی تک تمہارے دلوں میں ایمان داخل ہی نہیں ہوا۔ تم اگر اللہ کی اور اس کے رسول کی فرمانبرداری کرنے لگو گے تو اللہ تمہارے اعمال میں سے کچھ بھی کم نہ کرے گا۔ بیشک اللہ بخشنے واﻻ مہربان ہے
