Surah Al-Mumtahanah, Ayah 10

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِهِنَّ فَإِنْ عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ فَلَا تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الْكُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّ وَآتُوهُمْ مَا أَنْفَقُوا وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَلَا تُمْسِكُوا بِعِصَمِ الْكَوَافِرِ وَاسْأَلُوا مَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ وَلْيَسْأَلُوا مَا أَنْفَقُوا ذَٰلِكُمْ حُكْمُ اللَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha jaakumu almuminatu muhajiratin faimtahinoohunna Allahu aAAlamu bieemanihinna fain AAalimtumoohunna muminatin fala tarjiAAoohunna ila alkuffari la hunna hillun lahum wala hum yahilloona lahunna waatoohum ma anfaqoo wala junaha AAalaykum an tankihoohunna itha ataytumoohunna ojoorahunna wala tumsikoo biAAisami alkawafiri waisaloo ma anfaqtum walyasaloo ma anfaqoo thalikum hukmu Allahi yahkumu baynakum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

Hilali & KhanO you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them; Allah knows best as to their faith, then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers. They are not lawful for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful for them. But give them (disbelievers) that which they have spent (on their dowery). And there will be no sin on you to marry them if you have paid their due to them. Likewise do not keep the disbelieving women, and ask for that which you have spent (on their dowery) and let them (the disbelievers) ask for that which they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah, He judges between you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اے ایمان والو! جب تمہارے پاس مومن عورتیں ہجرت کرکے آئیں تو تم ان کا امتحان لو۔ دراصل ان کے ایمان کو بخوبی جاننے واﻻ تو اللہ ہی ہے لیکن اگر وه تمہیں ایمان والیاں معلوم ہوں تو اب تم انہیں کافروں کی طرف واپس نہ کرو، یہ ان کے لیے حلال نہیں اور نہ وه ان کے لیے حلال ہیں، اور جو خرچ ان کافروں کا ہوا ہو وه انہیں ادا کردو، ان عورتوں کو ان کے مہر دے کر ان سے نکاح کر لینے میں تم پر کوئی گناه نہیں اور کافر عورتوں کی ناموس اپنے قبضہ میں نہ رکھو اور جو کچھ تم نے خرچ کیا ہو، مانگ لو اور جو کچھ ان کافروں نے خرچ کیا ہو وه بھی مانگ لیں یہ اللہ کا فیصلہ ہے جو تمہارے درمیان کر رہا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ بڑے علم (اور) حکمت واﻻ ہے
