Surah Al-A'raf, Ayah 142
الأعراف · The Heights · verse 142 of 206
وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَاثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
WawaAAadna moosa thalatheena laylatan waatmamnaha biAAashrin fatamma meeqatu rabbihi arbaAAeena laylatan waqala moosa liakheehi haroona okhlufnee fee qawmee waaslih wala tattabiAA sabeela almufsideena

Hilali & KhanAnd We appointed for Musa thirty nights and added ten, and he completed the term, appointed by his Lord, of forty nights. And Musa said to his brother Harun: "Replace me among my people, act in the right way and follow not the way of the mischief-makers."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) سے تیس راتوں کا وعده کیا اور دس رات مزید سے ان تیس راتوں کو پورا کیا۔ سو ان کے پروردگار کا وقت پورے چالیس رات کا ہوگیا۔ اور موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے بھائی ہارون (علیہ السلام) سے کہا کہ میرے بعد ان کا انتظام رکھنا اور اصلاح کرتے رہنا اور بدنظم لوگوں کی رائے پر عمل مت کرنا
