Surah Al-A'raf, Ayah 172
الأعراف · The Heights · verse 172 of 206
وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ شَهِدْنَا أَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَٰذَا غَافِلِينَ
Waith akhatha rabbuka min banee adama min thuhoorihim thurriyyatahum waashhadahum AAala anfusihim alastu birabbikum qaloo bala shahidna an taqooloo yawma alqiyamati inna kunna AAan hatha ghafileena

Hilali & KhanAnd (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we were unaware of this."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور جب آپ کے رب نے اوﻻد آدم کی پشت سے ان کی اوﻻد کو نکالا اور ان سے ان ہی کے متعلق اقرار لیا کہ کیا میں تمہارا رب نہیں ہوں؟ سب نے جواب دیا کیوں نہیں! ہم سب گواه بنتے ہیں۔ تاکہ تم لوگ قیامت کے روز یوں نہ کہو کہ ہم تو اس سے محض بے خبر تھے
