Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 118
التوبة · The Repentance · verse 118 of 129
وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنْ لَا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
WaAAala alththalathati allatheena khullifoo hatta itha daqat AAalayhimu alardu bima rahubat wadaqat AAalayhim anfusuhum wathannoo an la maljaa mina Allahi illa ilayhi thumma taba AAalayhim liyatooboo inna Allaha huwa alttawwabu alrraheemu

Hilali & KhanAnd (Allah has forgiven) the three who stayed behind, until for them the earth, vast as it is, was straitened and their souls were straitened to them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah, and no refuge but with Him. Then, He forgave them, that they might beg for His pardon. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور تین شخصوں کے حال پر بھی جن کا معاملہ ملتوی چھوڑ دیا گیا تھا۔ یہاں تک کہ جب زمین باوجود اپنی فراخی کے ان پر تنگ ہونے لگی اور وه خود اپنی جان سے تنگ آگئے اور انہوں نے سمجھ لیا کہ اللہ سے کہیں پناه نہیں مل سکتی بجز اس کے کہ اسی کی طرف رجوع کیا جائے پھر ان کے حال پر توجہ فرمائی تاکہ وه آئنده بھی توبہ کرسکیں۔ بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ بہت توبہ قبول کرنے واﻻ بڑا رحم واﻻ ہے
