وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَٰكِنْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wama kunta bijanibi alttoori ith nadayna walakin rahmatan min rabbika litunthira qawman ma atahum min natheerin min qablika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona

Hilali & KhanAnd you were not at the side of At-Tur when We called. But (you are sent) as a mercy from your Lord, to give warning to a people to whom no warner had come before you, in order that they may remember or receive admonition.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور نہ تو طور کی طرف تھا جب کہ ہم نے آواز دی بلکہ یہ تیرے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک رحمت ہے، اس لیے کہ تو ان لوگوں کو ہوشیار کر دے جن کے پاس تجھ سے پہلے کوئی ڈرانے واﻻ نہیں پہنچا، کیا عجب کہ وه نصیحت حاصل کرلیں
