وَلَوْلَا أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Hilali & KhanAnd if (We had) not (sent you to the people of Makkah) in case a calamity should seize them for what their hands have sent forth, they would have said: "Our Lord! Why did You not send us a Messenger We would then have followed Your Ayat and would have been among the believers."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اگر یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ انہیں ان کے اپنے ہاتھوں آگے بھیجے ہوئے اعمال کی وجہ سے کوئی مصیبت پہنچتی تو یہ کہہ اٹھتے کہ اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہماری طرف کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا؟ کہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی تابعداری کرتے اور ایمان والوں میں سے ہو جاتے
