قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَةً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًا وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرًا وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ
Qala rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qala ayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalathata ayyamin illa ramzan waothkur rabbaka katheeran wasabbih bialAAashiyyi waalibkari

Hilali & KhanHe said: "O my Lord! Make a sign for me." (Allah) said: "Your sign is that you shall not speak to the people for three days except by signals. And remember your Lord much, and glorify (Him) in the afternoon and in the morning."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)کہنے لگے پروردگار! میرے لئے اس کی کوئی نشانی مقرر کر دے، فرمایا، نشانی یہ ہے کہ تین دن تک تو لوگوں سے بات نہ کر سکے گا، صرف اشارے سے سمجھائے گا، تو اپنے رب کا ذکر کثرت سے کر اور صبح وشام اسی کی تسبیح بیان کرتا ره!
